The Rolex Yacht-Master 42 Ref. 226668TBR is an exceptionally rare gem-set execution of Rolex’s maritime sports watch, combining a substantial 42mm 18k yellow gold case with factory diamond setting and the technical capability of the modern Yacht-Master collection. The case and lug surfaces are set with brilliant-cut diamonds, while the bezel is completely set with baguette-cut diamonds, creating one of the most elaborate precious-metal configurations of the Yacht-Master 42.
The understated black dial provides contrast against the gem-set yellow-gold case, with luminous hour markers and hands maintaining the Yacht-Master’s highly legible sports-watch design. A date display at 3 o’clock is magnified by Rolex’s signature Cyclops lens over the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
Inside is the Rolex Caliber 3235, an automatic manufacture movement offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters / 330 feet and features Rolex’s Triplock screw-down crown system.
Completing the watch is Rolex’s black Oysterflex bracelet, constructed with flexible metal blades overmoulded in high-performance elastomer. It is paired with an 18k yellow gold Oysterlock folding clasp, with examples of this reference also featuring diamond setting on the clasp.
