JD Certified is an exclusive certification service ensuring the authenticity and quality of luxury watches. This program offers an extra layer of trust and transparency for customers purchasing high-end timepieces, especially pre-owned or vintage models. Each watch that receives the JD Certified stamp undergoes rigorous testing and inspection to confirm its legitimacy, craftsmanship, and condition.

JD Certified: Authenticity You Can Trust

JD Watches is NOT an authorized dealer of any of the watch brands we sell. We obtain our watches from reputable sources dealing directly with authorized dealers and distributors.

The watches may come in either “unworn” or “unused” condition or they may come “previously owned”. JD Watches will indicate this condition on the product listing. In the absence of any condition notes, the customer will assume the watch to be “previously owned”.

JD Watches makes no representations as to the validity of any manufacturer’s warranties nor acts as representative for the customer to any watch manufacturers. Any warranties offered by JD Watches are done so strictly through the website using our own authorized watchmakers.

    Every watch is inspected by expert horologists who specialize in luxury timepieces. They verify the authenticity of the watch's brand, model, and individual components (e.g., movement, case, bracelet, and dial). The serial numbers, hallmarks, and engravings are cross-checked with official brand databases to confirm originality.

    The watch's overall condition is evaluated, including the movement, dial, bezel, crystal, and case. Any signs of wear, damage, or previous repairs are disclosed transparently. For pre-owned watches, the service includes a detailed report on the watch's maintenance history and current operational status.

    JD Certified watches undergo functional testing to ensure they meet the performance standards expected from their brand (e.g., timekeeping accuracy, power reserve, water resistance).

  4. Expert Seal of Approval
    Upon successful inspection, each JD Certified watch is issued a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the experts who conducted the verification. A unique JD Certified Seal (such as an engraving or a tamper-proof tag) is affixed to the watch to distinguish it from uncertified items.
