A Summer with JD Watches: Luxury Watches Beyond the Showroom

This summer, JD Watches took luxury watches beyond the showroom and into some of the places where our community was already spending the season. Across New York City and the Hamptons, each event offered a different setting, but they shared the same purpose: creating memorable experiences and connecting with people through a mutual appreciation for craftsmanship, style, and culture.

The settings changed throughout the summer, but the idea remained constant. Luxury watches belong beyond the showroom, in the worlds of style, sport, design, and culture that have always surrounded fine watchmaking. 

Frozen in Time: Bringing JD Watches to the Streets of New York

A New York Summer Classic

The season began in New York with Frozen in Time, a three-day JD Watches activation across Midtown, the Financial District, and Park Avenue. A custom ice cream truck made its way through Manhattan, offering complimentary soft serve and bringing a familiar summer tradition to some of the city's most iconic neighborhoods. 

Throughout the experience, the JD Watches truck became a striking presence on the streets of the city. The vintage-inspired design, summer setting, and unmistakable energy of New York created a backdrop that felt both nostalgic and sophisticated. A city street isn't where luxury watches usually find their home, but this one reflected the same attention to detail and appreciation for timeless style that define JD Watches.

Frozen in Time showed that luxury watches can be part of more than the traditional collecting experience. Sometimes, the most memorable connections happen in unexpected places. 

Wellness, Lifestyle, and Watches in the Hamptons 

A New Kind of Luxury

The season continued in the Hamptons with an experience hosted by Andrea Saty in collaboration with Douglas Elliman, where wellness, real estate, beauty, and fine watchmaking came together for the day. 

Pilates set the tone, while on-site hair by YARA Salon and offerings from NRActive, Kosterina, Granado, and other partners created an atmosphere centered around lifestyte and hospitality. Within this setting, guests were invited to discover a selection of luxury watches, explore the details of each timepiece, and speak with our team in a relaxed and welcoming environment. 

The afternoon offered a natural setting for conversations around watches, personal style, and collecting. It also reflected something we value at JD Watches: creating opportunities to share fine timepieces in the places where our community already gathers. 

Polo Hamptons: Tradition Meets Fine Watchmaking

An Afternoon in Bridgehampton

Few summer settings capture the character of the Hamptons quite like an afternoon of polo. At Polo Hamptons in Bridgehampton, JD Watches showcased a curated collection of luxury watches, blending exhilarating sport, timeless style, and one of the East End's signature summer traditions.

The connection between polo and fine watchmaking felt especially fitting. Both are built around precision, discipline, performance, and appreciation for details refined over time. As the matches unfolded, guests had the opportunity to experience timepieces up close and explore the craftsmanship behind them.

Some were longtime collectors, while some were discovering watches from a new perspective. Conversations moved naturally between movements and complications, personal collections, dream watches, and the stories attached to pieces passed from one generation to the next.

It was a reminder of what makes luxury watches so enduring. Beyond their craftsmanship, they carry history, personality and meaning—qualities that felt perfectly at home among the tradition and elegance of Polo Hamptons.

RAND Luxury: Craftsmanship on the Wrist and the Road

A Shared Passion for Craftsmanship

The worlds of fine watchmaking and automotive collecting came together at RAND Luxury's Hamptons Concours d'Elegance, an invitation-only gathering held on a private estate in Bridgehampton. 

Surrounded by an extraordinary collection of automobiles and artwork, JD Watches joined an afternoon devoted to exceptional design and craftsmanship. The setting highlighted a connection collectors know well: whether admiring a remarkable automobile or examining an exceptional watch, it is often the smallest details that make the greatest impression. 

Engineering, history, rarity, and design all shape the appeal of both worlds. Among collector cars and fellow enthusiasts, luxury watches became part of objects created with exceptional attention to detail and made to endure.
